USE

Ferrous or non-ferrous metal, Bilco doors, railings, structural or support steel, wood, roof decks, equipment, fencing, metal storage shed and general maintenance painting interior or exterior surfaces.

COVERAGE

Quart (946 millilitres)- One coat of approximately 80 square feet of surface space
Gallon (3.79 litres)- One coat of approximately 320 square feet of surface space

SURFACE PREP

The surface to be painted must be clean, dry, and free from oil, grease, dirt, salts, and other contaminants
All loose rust or peeling paint should be removed and glossy surfaces should be dulled before recoating

PRIMING

If the surface to be painted is water-stained, smoke damaged, grease stained or very slick, use a special purpose primer
Consult the technical data sheet or a Merit Decorating associate for specific primer recommendations

APPLICATION

Use outdoors or in a well-ventilated area
Use product when surface temperature is between 10°C (50°F) and 35°C (95°F), and 2.8°C (5°F) above the dew point
Stir well before use; apply 2 coats
Product can be applied by brush, roller, or spray
Thinning: if required use a small amount of clean water. Never add other paints, solvents, or conditioners
Keep container closed when not in use
Keep out of reach of children
It is recommended that anyone who is applying the product or present during application of this product, especially those who are asthmatic, follow the manufacturer's safety precautions
It is recommended that pregnant women are not present when product is being applied and drying

DRYING

Dries to touch in 1 hour
Can be recoated after 4 hours
Humidity and temperature may prolong dry, recoat, and cure times

CLEAN UP & STORAGE

Clean all equipment immediately with soap and warm water. Wash thoroughly after handling
Spray equipment should be given a full rinse with mineral spirits to prevent rusting
When storing, tightly close container and store upside down
Store in a well-ventilated area
Do not store near heat, sparks, open flame, or other sources of ignition
Protect from freezing
In case of spillage, absorb with inert material and dispose of in accordance with local regulations
Use completely or dispose of properly
