INSL-X Cabinet Coat Urethane-Acrylic Satin Interior Enamel Paint

USE
  • For new or dingy painted, polyurethaned, or varnished cabinets and shelving, wood trim, furniture, woodwork, doors, and other interior surfaces
  • Not for immersion service or for the surfaces of stoves or ovens
COVERAGE
  • Quart (946 millilitres)- One coat of approximately 100 square feet of wall space
  • Gallon (3.79 litres)- One coat of approximately 400 square feet of surface space
  • *Coverage may vary depending on the surface porosity and texture*

SURFACE PREP
  • Surface must be clean, dry, firm, free of dirt, wax, and grease
  • Use a strong detergent solution and clean vigorously
  • Remove wax
  • Sand, scrape, or wire brush (metal) to remove peeling paint
  • Remove mildew

PRIMING
  • Previously painted or varnishes surfaces: self priming on surface in good condition. Spot prime bare spots with Cabinet Coat and allow to dry overnight
  • new wood: sand the surface. Self priming. Allow first coat to dry overnight. Sand between coats with fine sandpaper
  • ferrous metal: prime bare spots with metal primer
  • melamine or Formica: self priming. Sand with fine sandpaper
APPLICATION
  • Use in a well-ventilated area
  • Stir thoroughly
  • Apply with a synthetic bristle brush, short nap roller (3/8” or less) or HVLP spray
  • Keep a wet edge
  • Two thin coats are better than one heavy coat
  • DO NOT THIN
  • Do not apply when surface or air temperature is below 12.8°C (55°F) and above 32.2°C (90°F)
  • Keep container closed when not in use
  • Keep out of reach of children
  • It is recommended that anyone who is applying the product or present during application of this product, especially those who are asthmatic, follow the manufacturer's safety precautions
  • It is recommended that pregnant women are not present when product is being applied and drying
DRYING
  • At 25°C (77°F):
    • tack free in 1 hour
    • recoat after 6 hours
    • bare wood: 1st cost dries after 16 hours
    • ready to put into use after 12-24 hours
  • Humidity and temperature may prolong dry, recoat, and cure times
CLEAN UP & STORAGE
  • Clean up with soap and warm water immediately after use; wash thoroughly
  • In case of spillage, absorb with inert material and dispose of in accordance with local regulations
  • When storing, tightly close container and store upside down
  • Store in a well-ventilated area
  • Do not store near heat, sparks, open flame, or other sources of ignition
  • Protect from freezing
  • Use completely or dispose of properly
