Benjamin Moore ARBORCOAT Classic Oil Exterior Stain- Semi Solid (K329)

USE
  • For wood decking, siding, fencing, shakes, and furniture
COVERAGE
  • Gallon (3.79 litres)- One coat of approximately 200-350 square feet of surface space
  • *Coverage may vary depending on the type, age, and texture of substrate as well as the application method*
SURFACE PREP
  • Remove previous coating completely
  • This product must be able to penetrate wood
  • Surfaces must be clean and mildew free
  • Mill glaze must be removed
APPLICATION
  • Always test a small area for colour, opacity, penetration, and drying before preceding
  • DO NOT THIN
  • Stir thoroughly before and occasionally before use
  • On smooth siding or deck surfaces, apply one thin coat by brush or stain pad, allowing the stain to penetrate into the wood
  • On rough siding, apply 1 or 2 coats as needed
  • Apply a second coat if required, wet on wet within 10 minutes of the application of the first coat
  • Applying the finish too heavily or applying over a sealed surface will result in slow dry times and uneven finish
  • Use product when surface temperature is above 10°C (50°F)
  • Do not apply in direct sunlight, over damp surfaces, or during threatening weather
  • Keep container closed when not in use
  • Keep out of reach of children
  • It is recommended that anyone who is applying the product or present during application of this product, especially those who are asthmatic, follow the manufacturer's safety precautions
  • It is recommended that pregnant women are not present when product is being applied and drying
DRYING
  • Dries to touch in 6-8 hours
  • Decks: allow finish to cure 24-48 hours
  • Humidity and temperature may prolong dry, recoat, and cure times
CLEAN UP & STORAGE
  • Clean brushes and equipment with mineral spirits
  • In case of spillage, absorb with inert material and dispose of in accordance with local regulations
  • Wash thoroughly after handling
  • When storing, tightly close container and store upside down
  • Store in a well-ventilated area
  • Do not store near heat, sparks, open flame, or other sources of ignition
  • Protect from freezing
  • Use completely or dispose of properly
