INSL-X Aqua Lock Plus Interior/Exterior Primer/Sealer (AQ-0400)

USE

• Primes and seals interior or exterior plaster, drywall, wood, concrete, aluminum, galvanized metal, glossy surfaces, PVC, and tile in commercial, institutional, and residential applications
• Excellent for use under wall coverings
• Blocks “bleed through” from common household stains, water stains, smoke, soot, crayon, lipstick, ball point pen, and more
• Not for use on pressure treated decks
• This product contains an agent that inhibits the growth of mildew on the surface of the paint film

COVERAGE

• Quart (946 millilitres)- One coat of approximately 100 square feet of wall space
• Gallon (3.79 litres)- One coat of approximately 400 square feet of wall space

SURFACE PREP

• SEE PRODUCT DATA SHEET FOR COMPLETE PREPARATION AND APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
• Surface must be clean, free from dirt, grease, oil, wax, mildew, and other foreign matter
• Was with warm soapy water, rinsing with clean water. Allow to dry
• Remove loose, powdery, or peeling paint by wire brushing or scraping
• Use over most glossy surfaces without sanding
• Fill cracks and nail holes with patching compound. Allow patch to dry thoroughly
• Remove rust by wire brushing, chipping, sanding, or scraping
• *see technical data sheet or ask us how to properly clean mildewed surfaces

APPLICATION

• Use outdoors or in a well-ventilated area
  
• Stir thoroughly before and during use; 1 coat is usually enough but sometimes a second coat is needed
• Product can be applied by brush, roller, or spray
• Apply at full strength for maximum stain blocking and sealing properties
• Top-coat with interior or exterior latex or oil-alkyd based finishes
• Stubborn stain may require additional coats
• May be tinted with universal colourant:
  • White- up to 59 mL (2 oz) per 3.79L
  • Deep Tint- up to 237 mL (8 oz) per 3.79L
• Apply when surface and ambient temperatures are 12. 8°C to 32.2°C (55°F to 90°F)
• Keep container closed when not in use
• Keep out of reach of children
• It is recommended that anyone who is applying the product or present during application of this product, especially those who are asthmatic, follow the manufacturer's safety precautions
• It is recommended that pregnant women are not present when product is being applied and drying
  

DRYING

• Tack free in 30 minutes
• For multiple-coat application, allow a 1-2-hour dry time between coats; high humidity or cooler temperatures may prolong drying time
• Fully cures in 7-10 days
• Humidity and temperature may prolong dry, recoat, and cure times

CLEAN UP & STORAGE

• Remove spatter immediately with soap and warm water; absorb spills with inert material and dispose of in accordance with local regulations
  
• Wash tools and equipment with soap and warm water immediately after use
• Wash thoroughly after handling
• When storing, tightly close container and store upside down
• Store in a well-ventilated area
• Do not store near heat, sparks, open flame, or other sources of ignition
• Protect from freezing
  
• Use completely or dispose of properly
