USE
  • A premium quality, inter waterborne alkyd enamel coating that dries to a smooth, hard finish.
  • Advance provides a finish that is equal to the best solvent-thinned alkyd finishes.
  • Recommended for properly primed interior surfaces of wood, cured plaster, wallboard, metal, and masonry.
  • Ideal for new and previously painted interior trim, doors, walls, ceilings, and furniture
COVERAGE
  • Quart (946 millilitres)- One coat of approximately 100 square feet of wall space
  • Gallon (3.79 litres)- One coat of approximately 400 square feet of wall space
  • *Coverage may vary depending on the surface porosity and texture*
SURFACE PREP
  • Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of grease, wax, dust, mildew, rust, and loose and scaling paint.
  • Glossy surfaces should be dulled
  • New plaster and masonry must be thoroughly cured before priming
PRIMING
  • Advance can be applied over an oil or latex primer
  • Ask about special purpose primers for wood, drywall substrates, plaster, masonry, and metal surfaces or if the surface to be painted is stained, smoke damaged, or very slick
  • Certain deep custom colours may require a deep base primer
APPLICATION
  • Use in a well-ventilated area
  • Do not apply when air and surface temperatures are below 10°C (50°F)
  • Stir thoroughly before and during use; Apply 2 coats
  • This product can be applied by brush, roller, and spray
  • Keep container closed when not in use
  • Keep out of reach of children
  • It is recommended that anyone who is applying the product or present during application of this product, especially those who are asthmatic, follow the manufacturer's safety precautions
  • It is recommended that pregnant women are not present when product is being applied and drying
DRYING
  • Dries to touch in 4-6 hours; allow 16 hours to dry before sanding and applying second coat
  • Advance’s full hardness and adhesion develops over time
  • Do not expose to heavy abrasion or return shelves/table tops to service for at least 3-5 days to prevent damage to the finish
  • Humidity and temperature may prolong dry, recoat, and cure times
CLEAN UP & STORAGE
  • Clean up with soap and warm water; wash thoroughly after handling
  • Brushes and rollers should be given a final rinse with mineral spirits to remove residual alkyd
  • Spray equipment should be given a final rinse with mineral spirits to prevent rusting
  • In case of spillage, absorb with inert material and dispose of in accordance with local regulations
  • When storing, tightly close container and store upside down
  • Store in a well-ventilated area
  • Do not store near heat, sparks, open flame, or other sources of ignition
  • Protect from freezing
  • Use completely or dispose of properly
