Krylon Colormaxx Spray Primer

USE
  • Indoor and outdoor wood, metal, most plastics, wicker, glass, ceramic, masonry, paper, and fabric
COVERAGE
  • Spray Can (340 grams)- One coat of up to 20 square feet on a solid non-porous surface
SURFACE PREP
  • Surface should be clean, dull, and dry
  • Remove loose rust and paint with wire brush or sand paper
APPLICATION
  • Spray outdoors or in a well-ventilated area
  • Shake can 1-2 minutes before use as well as occasionally during use
  • Test spray in inconspicuous area for compatibility
  • Hold can 6”-8” from surface, spray in sweeping motion side to side with slight overlap
  • Apply multiple thin coats, wait 1 minute between each coat
  • Apply primer as a base coat
  • Primer seals, protects, and helps with drastic colour changes
  • Use primer coat close to topcoat colour
  • Prim porous or sanded surfaces, bare wood and metal
  • Light sand with 220 grit sandpaper for a smooth top coat
  • For best results, use when air and surface temperature are between 10°C and 32°C (50°F and 90°F) and humidity is below 85%
  • Keep out of reach of children
  • It is recommended that anyone who is applying the product or present during application of this product, especially those who are asthmatic, follow the manufacturer's safety precautions
  • It is recommended that pregnant women are not present when product is being applied and drying
DRYING
  • Dries in 10 minutes or less
  • Handle in 1 hour
  • Recoat or topcoat anytime
CLEAN UP & STORAGE
  • Wash thoroughly after handling
  • To prevent clogs, hold can upside down and spray until clear gas appears
  • To clean paint on tip, wear eye protection, and wipe off with mineral spirits- DO NOT stick pin in tip opening
  • Clean overspray with mineral spirits, following solvent manufacturer’s instructions
  • For Storage and re-use, clear valve by holding can in an upright position pointed away from you, and push the tip to one side for a few seconds to clear out remaining paint
  • Store can inside when not in use
  • In extremely cold temperatures, keep can warm
  • DO NOT heat on stove, in oven, or in microwave
  • Use completely or dispose of properly
