Benjamin Moore Ultra Flat Ceiling Paint (K508)

USE

• New or previously painted wallboard, cured plaster or masonry, or wallpapered ceiling surfaces
• Primed or previously painted wood or metal ceilings
• New or coated acoustic ceilings
• The ultra flat finish of this product means that it is not suitable for surfaces that require cleaning or are subject to abrasion

COVERAGE

• Quart (946 millilitres)- One coat of approximately 100 square feet of ceiling space
• Gallon (3.79 litres)- One coat of approximately 400 square feet of ceiling space
• Pail (18.9 litres)- One coat of approximately 2000 square feet of ceiling space

• *Coverage may vary depending on the surface porosity and texture*

SURFACE PREP

• Surfaces to be painted must be clean, dry, and free of wax, grease, scaling paint, and mildew
• Glossy areas should be dulled
• Remove wall covering if there is evidence of bleeding colours

PRIMING

• Primer can be used when there is a significant colour change, new drywall, or painting over oil paint
• Ask about special purpose primers for wood, plaster, masonry, and metal surfaces or if the surface to be painted is stained, smoke damaged, or very slick
• Certain deep base colours may require a deep-base primer

APPLICATION

• Use in a well-ventilated area
  
• Use product when surface temperature is above 10°C (50°F)
• Stir thoroughly before use; apply 2 coats
• Apply generously from unpainted area into wet area
• Product can be applied by brush, roller, or spray
• Keep container closed when not in use
• Keep out of reach of children
• It is recommended that anyone who is applying the product or present during application of this product, especially those who are asthmatic, follow the manufacturer's safety precautions
• It is recommended that pregnant women are not present when product is being applied and drying
  

DRYING

• Dries to touch in 1 hour
• Recoat after 1-2 hours
• Painted surfaces will be cured after 2-3 weeks
• Humidity and temperature may prolong dry, recoat, and cure times

CLEAN UP & STORAGE

• Use soap and warm water; wash thoroughly after handling
• In case of spillage, absorb with inert material and dispose of in accordance with local regulations
  
• When storing, tightly close container and store upside down
• Store in a well-ventilated area
• Do not store near heat, sparks, open flame, or other sources of ignition
• Protect from freezing
  
• Use completely or dispose of properly
