MEASURE (1)
- Measure the areas to be painted (height x width = square metres [footage]) to ensure you will have enough paint
- Do not stretch paint beyond indicated surface area shown on your kit as each kit is formulated for the specified recommended coverage
PREP (2)
- Prepare your area by repairing any cracks, holes, or breaks and clean away any dirt or dust
- Next, level any dried spackling by lightly sanding the patches as well as any other rough spots so it blends in with the surface
- Frame the area to be primed with painters’ tape
- Use at least 10 cm of tape at the bottom to help capture any drips
- Make sure the tape is sealed smoothly without wrinkles
- This product works best when your surface is smooth to the touch
PRIME (3)
- Prime the following areas if needed, and let dry for 24 hours:
- Any areas where filler/spackle/compound was used
- When painting over a flat or matte finish
- If painting over new dry wall
- If painting over a different surface colour
- We recommend priming with Benjamin Moore Fresh Start Multi-Purpose Latex Primer
- Once primed, use a non-flat intermediate white base coat
MIX (4)
- If needed, use pliers to remove safety ring or clips from Part A
- Put on gloves, then pour Part B into Part A and hand stir thoroughly for 2 minutes- do not drill mix or shake
- There is no indication time and notable can be applied immediately, but must be applied within 4 hours of mixing
- Do not use a plastic tray liner for rolling
APPLY (5)
- Use in a well-ventilated area
- Before applying, clean the area of any loose dirt or debris
- Be sure to open a window or use a fan to ensure proper airflow and ventilation
- Product may be applied by brush to cut in the edges, if desired
- For rolling, use the roller cover provided in your kit and do not overload the roller
- The product should be applied 4.6 square metres (50 square feet) at a time (approximately in 1.5 m sections
- Start at the top left corner of your section and apply using up and down strokes
- Use minimal pressure to avoid drips
- Wait 5-10 minutes and then apply a second coat on the wet film
- Any wet areas that need to be touched up must be done within 30 minutes
- Keep container closed when not in use
- Keep out of reach of children
- It is recommended that anyone who is applying the product or present during application of this product, especially those who are asthmatic, follow the manufacturer's safety precautions
- It is recommended that pregnant women are not present when product is being applied and drying
WAIT (6)
- Wait 30 minutes to remove painters’ tape and pull off at a 45-degree angle
- Product will e dry to touch in 4 hours, but has a full cure time of 7 days
READY TO USE (7)
- After 7-day cure period, it is safe to use any standard dry erase marker on the new surface (Expo markers are recommended)
- Remove marks with any standard dry eraser
- For harder to erase marks, we recommend using Expo cleaner
- For best results, do not leave standard dry erase marks on a dry erase surface for more than 30 days
- Clean-up using mineral spirits
- In case of spillage, absorb with inert material and dispose of in accordance with local regulations
- Wash thoroughly after handling
- To recoat after it has cured, lightly sand and follow steps 3-7
- When storing, tightly close container and store upside down
- Store in a well-ventilated area
- Do not store near heat, sparks, open flame, or other sources of ignition
- Protect from freezing
- use completely or dispose of properly
